Amy Laubinger, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Laubinger joined the AFAH team in March 2004. Since then, she has gained a reputation in the Ashburn community for her kind, professional, and compassionate nature.
Dr. Laubinger earned her Bachelor of Arts from the College of William and Mary. She also studied abroad during her junior year at the University of Exeter in England. Dr. Laubinger obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 1985. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is USDA Accredited.
As a child, Dr. Laubinger had an assortment of animal friends – hamsters, snakes, horses, dogs, and cats. She firmly believes that the human-animal bond enhances the quality of life for both the person and the pet. Her goal as a veterinarian is to improve the lives of animals, which will hopefully improve the lives of their people.
Currently, Dr Laubinger shares her home with Pepper, a Springer/Retriever Mix. Pepper is very energetic and loves long walks in the woods. In addition to caring for your pets, Dr. Laubinger enjoys a variety of activities with her husband and children including sports, hiking and travel.
Our staff and clients have only wonderful things to say about Dr. Laubinger. She is extremely easy to work with and is a very thorough practitioner, often spending hours researching special cases in order to insure the best medical work-up possible. We are very thankful that Dr. Laubinger joined our team!
